Snowy Sunday

Just after all the snow and ice melted this week, it is snowing again in D.C. Moving up "north" I thought the greatest thing about snow would be snow days and so far, I am very disappointed.

Snow does give good photo ops, so for all the Floridian family and friends, you can see what snow is like. I took some pictures looking out from our window and from our building's roofdeck.

BTW, looking at weather.com I did notice that it is 71 degrees in Pensacola. I'm so jealous.

Celebrating the New Job

Lelaine has a new job as a Legislative Assistant for a Florida Member of Congress. Heather and Allen came out to celebrate with us at the wine bar/restaurant Ardeo. Her first day is March 5th.

Lilly Allen Show

Tonight we walked about 600 feet for our Friday night entertainment at the 9:30 Club. This is a definate perk living at the new place.

The night's entertainers were Aaron Lacrate (DJ) and the brit pop star, Lilly Allen. Lelaine and many others at the show really liked Lacrate, but Chris wasn't a big fan. Surprisingly, we both really enjoyed Lilly Allen's spunky 'tude and fantastic voice.

On the long way home, we ran into next week's band The Dance Party and got a free CD with their songs. Lelaine was hooked by the nostalgic song titled "Daniel LaRusso Is Gonna Fight!" The promotion worked and she bought tickets to their show next week with Middle Distance Runner. Anyone else interested? We can go to Ben's before AND afterwards!

I took the pics with my camera phone as the digital camera has gobbled up another set of batteries. They kind of suck, but being 5'2 that is as good as it gets.
