Turkey Day

This year Chris and I stayed in Washington, D.C. for Thanksgiving and invited our friends Allen and Heather Todd over to eat with us. We split up the usual Thanksgiving items and it was a easy cooking day for both couples.

We ate around 1:30pm and we all had full bellies by 2:00pm. After lunch we all watched the Bond movie, Goldeneye. This was Allen and Heather's first Bond movie. Some of us napped during the movie, but enjoyed the new speaker system that Lelaine's dad bought her.

After some coffee and pie, we decided to play some Texas Hold 'Em poker until the Chiefs v. Broncos game at 8pm. Heather was new to the game, so we played just for fun. Allen ended up being the big winner of the night.

We enjoyed the Chiefs game at 8pm and of course, a nice second helping to turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, etc. Chris and Allen were happy at the final score of 19-10 for the Chiefs.

Election Day

Chris and I were at Democratic HQ on Election Night. If you watched CNN you could have caught a glimpse of us yelling and screaming into the cameras.

It was great to be there and hear that Democrats took back the House. For all you Rs out there, we hope to work with you in a bipartisan manner---our way. Ha, just joking. Like we have any power anyway.

After popular demand...the new apartment photos

We love our new place! After a tumultous couple of weeks trying to find a place where we were OUTBID for an apartment to rent (yes, outbid to rent) and looked at an apartment with, no joke, no right angles (Chris could not lay down in the livingroom), we finally found a new home.

We are renting a brand new condo in The Rhapsody. Although a bit smaller than our old place, it is 100 times nicer. We are above ground (we get to see sunlight) and best of all we have a parking space. It's funny the things you look for in an apartment in a big city.

We are soliciting nicknames for our new place, so please feel free to comment.

WELCOME!

Chris and I are jumping on the blog bandwagon and setting up our own blog/website. We hope that it is interesting (although our lives are usually not) and serves to keep our family and friends connected to our daily lives.
